Call for Board Nominations
The New Jersey Health Information Management Association (NJHIMA) Nominating Committee invites you to nominate a colleague or yourself to be a potential candidate and elected official for the NJHIMA Executive Board positions for the next fiscal year July 1, 2020 – June 30, 2021.
Nominations for 2020 - 2021 are now CLOSED!
All Nominees must be active NJHIMA members in good standing and meet the qualifications of the position.
Qualifications for the 2020-2021 open Board positions are:
- President-Elect– Learn more about this role
- 3-year term
- Organizes and presides over all NJHIMA Board meetings
- Represents NJHIMA at various functions
- Serves as a NJHIMA delegate to the AHIMA House of Delegates
- Attends designated conferences and meeting
- Prior Board experience necessary or similar leadership experience required
- Director / Delegate– Learn more about this role
- 2-year term
- Serves as mentor and support for Committee Chairs
- Attends designated conferences and meeting
- Serves as a NJHIMA delegate to the AHIMA House of Delegates
- Prior NJHIMA board experience or similar leadership experience necessary
- Secretary– Learn more about this role
- 1-year term
- Attends all board meetings and takes minutes
- Prior board experience preferred but not necessary.
- Treasurer– Learn more about this role
- 2-year term
- Maintains checking and savings account
- Coordinate annual budget process
- Work with NJHIMA accountant
- Ensure financial documents are maintained in Storage at NJHA
- Nominating Committee– Learn more about this role
- 2-year term
- Solicit candidates for general election
- Ensure candidates meet criteria
